How we rank offers

Legal review required: this page is placeholder text and is not final.

LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED - draft for local development. The ranking method must be disclosed publicly before launch under the RBI Digital Lending Directions; counsel to confirm this wording, in particular the commission tie-breaker described in step 4.

When you check your eligibility, we test your details against the published rules of every partner lender and show you the offers you are likely to get. This page explains, in plain words, how we put those offers in order. The same method is used for everyone with the same details.

The order we use

  1. How likely you are to be approved. We first group offers by how well your profile fits each lender's rules and how that lender has decided on similar applications before. Offers you are most likely to get come first, so you don't waste time or credit enquiries on long shots.
  2. Lowest interest rate. Within the same group, the offer with the lowest starting interest rate comes first.
  3. Lowest processing fee. If the rates are the same, the offer with the lower processing fee on your loan amount comes first.
  4. Our commission, only as a final tie-breaker. Lenders pay Rupiyalo a commission when a loan is disbursed; you never pay us. If two offers are still exactly equal on steps 1 to 3, the one that earns us a higher commission may be shown first. Commission never moves an offer above one that is more likely to be approved, cheaper, or has a lower fee, and it never decides whether you see an offer at all.
  5. A fixed order. If everything above is equal, offers appear in a fixed lender order, so the result never changes at random.

What we never do

  • We never hide an offer you qualify for because of what a lender pays us.
  • We never charge you to rank, view or apply for an offer.
  • We never show Rupiyalo as the lender. Every offer names the bank or NBFC that would give you the loan, and that lender makes the final decision and sets your final terms in its Key Fact Statement.

Lenders that didn't match

If a lender's rules don't fit your request (for example your salary is below its minimum, or your city isn't covered), we don't show its offer, and we tell you the main reasons in plain language so you know what to change.
